Exousia Youth Foundation (EYF) is a dynamic non-profit organization that empowers young people to become leaders in their communities. One of the ways the organization achieves this is through providing sports program scholarships for disadvantaged youth to attend sports camps in individual sports such as golf, equestrian, swimming, and tennis. These scholarships are designed to give young people access to sports programs that may not otherwise be affordable for them. EYF provides financial assistance for sports equipment, transportation, and other expenses related to participating in sports.
Exousia Youth Foundation believes that participating in sports can have a positive impact on young people's physical, mental and emotional well-being, and by providing these scholarships, the organization can help many more young people to experience the benefits of sports. The scholarships also provide an opportunity for young people to develop teamwork and leadership skills, as well as self-discipline and confidence. With the help of these scholarships, young people are able to participate in sports programs and grow as individuals, team members, and leaders.
Eligibility for scholarships are based on any of the following: (1) living in distressed census tracts and/or (2) lack of access to athletics. EYF does not make decisions for scholarships based on factors such as income, ethnicity, national origin, color, ability, academic grades, race, or sex. Applicants must have at least 2 character references, provide a home address and the name of their academic institution. NOTE: student-athletes with living arrangements such as group homes, assisted living, or foster care are encouraged to apply.
